What is a SafeRent Inquiry, and why is it on your credit report?

If you’re looking for an apartment or already living in one, you need to grant permission to the landlord/property manager to pull your credit reports and scores. SafeRent pulls your credit reports and scores in the landlord’s name, process them, compiles a renter report on you and provides tenant screening services to the landlord.

Safe Rent uses a proprietary score (a.k.a.Renter Score) that uses information from your credit reports with additional information collected by Safe Rent itself such as evictions, late rental payments (which are reported directly to SafeRent by the landlords) etc.
