Hi, I’m new to credit, and had a credit card for 8 month (a Macy’s card and a secure MasterCard). I’m curious about my score, but not sure how to check credit score without dinging credit.

    Any ideas?

    Welcome to the forums.

Your credit score is probably around 650, but I’m just guessing. You can check your credit at myFico.com, but that will cost you money. Personally, I think it’s a waste of money. You have nothing to do with that ‘knowledge’.

Checking your own credit score dose NOT ding your credit in any way.

You can try credit karma. They give you free credit score, that’s based on your transunion’s score. Not exactly FICO but within 50 points. Good enough for practical purposes. Other then myFico, this is the only site that gives away ‘real’ fico score to consumers. All other site give you scores that has nothing to do with real score. These are called FAKKO scores.
