My SSN brings up weird stuff on my credit report!

I was trying to get my credit score the other day, but when I entered my SSN I was asked how much I paid for a property in Texas! I’ve never been to Texas! so… Did someone steal my SSN and has been using it to buy property?

Your identity is probably safe. These are just security trick questions that are meant to verify your identity. Only you should know that you DON’T have a property in Texas, so the correct answer would be none of the above.
You should only be concerned about identity theft if you answered “no” to this question and any other debt that you have/don’t have and then they denied you access.
In case that you are unable to validate your identity online, they allow you to send them a copy of your driver license/pay stub as a proof of identity. Look for appropriate link on the site.
